WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS

From the sketch to your mailbox, we take you through the fascinating stages in the life of an Ana&Cha piece of jewelry.

Inspiration: When imagination takes shape

Together, we create the mood boards for our future collections.

A palette of colors, textures, trends, and shapes then inspires our designers.

They imagine and draw all our creations in our Parisian studio.

Sampling: From the design to the first prototypes

Once the designs have been approved, production can begin.

It is therefore at the heart of our certified partner factories that the first samples come to life after a long manufacturing process in which craftsmanship, age-old techniques, and technology all play a role.

The Micro Fusion:

Step 1: Creating the mold

1. Creating a model of the first piece in wax or metal, made by hand or with a 3D printer.

2. This model will be used to make the mold.

3. Creating the silicone mold, which reproduces the model’s imprint

4. Injecting wax into the molds.

Step 2: Creating the wax-to-metal tree

1. Assembling the wax pieces on a rod to form the casting tree, or “tree,” which will allow several pieces to be made at the same time.

2. Placing the tree in a metal cylinder

3. Filling the cylinder with plaster.

4. The cylinder is then placed in a burnout furnace. Molten metal (brass) is poured inside to take the place of the wax.

5. The cylinder cools, and the plaster is then dissolved, leaving a metal tree: the metal has taken the place of the wax.

Polishing

This technique involves separating, cleaning, and polishing the pieces.

We favor hand polishing, which better suits the delicacy of our jewelry.

Crimping

All the stones featured in our jewelry are hand-set using an artisanal technique in which each one is individually placed according to the jewelry design.

Hand-setting requires expertise and time, and produces precise, aesthetically unique results.

As a reminder, all the stones we use are natural, so each one is unique in its color variations and has its own properties.

The Chainage

For fine chains and mesh work, we generally use mechanical manufacturing.

This process offers great precision and uniformity in the links while preserving the originality of our designs.

For other, more substantial creations, we use handcrafted chain-making techniques.

This involves carefully assembling and soldering the links by hand, one by one, to create a strong and aesthetically pleasing chain.

The result is sublime!

Plating

The final step in making our jewelry: gold plating! Made from 100% recycled gold.

All our creations are therefore coated with a 3-micron layer of gold to provide the best resistance to the passage of time.

They are then dipped in a bath of 24-karat gold, which gives them lasting radiance and shine.

It’s no coincidence that we guarantee the plating on all our jewelry for 3 years!
